Industrial Polyphase Energy Monitoring Module

Three-phase energy metering and power quality monitoring for industrial facilities and manufacturing plants, with Modbus TCP, historical logging, NTP timekeeping, and an AI-Ready data foundation.

Problem / Solution

Problem

Operational blind spots

• Unseen harmonics, voltage sags/swells, and phase imbalance

• Unplanned downtime and equipment stress on motors and VFDs

• Fragmented meters, manual logging, no plant-wide visibility

Solution

A complete measurement and integration module for industrial controls teams

• Three-phase RMS voltage and current measurement

• Active, reactive, and apparent power monitoring

• Power factor and quadrant classification

• Analog input monitoring for 4–20mA current-loop sensors

• Digital input/output control and edge counting

Key Features

Polyphase Measurement

Measure three-phase RMS voltage and current, active, reactive, and apparent power, plus power factor and quadrant classification.

Designed toward IEC 62053, IEC 61000-4-30, and IEC 61010-1 compliance.

Industrial Integration

Connect to SCADA and PLC systems over Modbus TCP. Monitor 4–20mA current-loop sensors and control digital inputs and outputs with edge counting.

Logging & Instrument Panel

Log historical data to an SD card in circular-buffer format, keep time synchronized with NTP, and configure or monitor the module through the web-based Instrument Panel.

Programmable Alarm Outputs

5 Configurable Digital Outputs — Assign any of 5 digital outputs to trigger on conditions like phase loss, undervoltage/overvoltage, or leakage current detection — giving plant staff immediate, local alarm signaling without waiting on a SCADA poll cycle. Additional trigger conditions can be configured per site.

• Phase monitoring (loss, imbalance, reversal)

• Leakage current detection

• Expandable trigger logic for site-specific conditions

AI-Ready Data Platform

Structured data for future analytics. Live registers and historical records provide a clean foundation for trend analysis, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance tooling. Advanced analytics features are still in development, so this module is positioned as AI-Ready—not AI-Powered.

• Real-time Modbus TCP plus SD-card historical logging

• NTP-synchronized timestamps for consistent event history

• Web-based Instrument Panel for configuration and live monitoring

Built-In Configuration Interface

No Separate Software Required

Configure phase gain calibration, 4–20mA analog input scaling, and digital input debounce settings directly from a built-in web interface — accessible from any browser on the network. Changes apply immediately, with no proprietary software or vendor lock-in.

• Per-phase V/I gain and offset calibration

• Piecewise-linear analog input scaling (4/12/24 mA calibration points)

• Live register viewer and historical trend charts included

Use Cases

Built for industrial facilities and manufacturing plants

Our energy monitoring solutions are distributed primarily through controls and automation integrators, including panel builders and SCADA integrators, who deploy them into customer projects.

Deployed at the Point of Risk

Monitor feeders, presses, welders and packaging lines for events that damage uptime and quality.

Motors & VFDs

Track harmonics, overheating risk and phase imbalance that shorten motor life and trip drives.

Power Quality Issues

Identify sags, swells, flicker and harmonics at the source. Correlate events with production data.
